Bands I worked for :
I've been working as a backline tech for almost 20 years now . As an - ex- keyboardplayer myself , it comes as no surprise that I'm a dedicated keyboard tech , allthough I do know my way around drums & guitars too .
I started working in the hardware days , with huge keyboard rigs and racks full of AKAI samplers & synth modules , personal mixers with overloud personal monitors , even maintaining heavy Hammond B3's and Leslie cabs .
Thank god technology has moved on , and now off course it all comes down to having one - maybe two - master keyboards or keyboard workstations , combined with a mac running some great plugins .
I've always been more into programming than into playing , so programming someone else's rig (preferably someone who likes playing more than programming) is what I like to do best .

I own a basic setup (pictured above) to run clicktracks & backingtrack loops that I often rent out to clients . It's a small & compact setup , but has proved to be very reliable and effective .
It consists of 2 macs running simultaniously for instant switching in case of something going wrong (which rarely happens anyway)
The outputs are routed through a digital yamaha desk for flexible routing and switching . There are also a few soundcards , a Wordclock , MIDI interfaces , MIDI boosters , a custom-made 16 channel balanced transformer unit , etc in the rack for easy connectivity with other gear .
I plan to update the whole system sometime in 2010 to 100% digital from DAW to PA , by routing/mixing everything through adat pipes and sending a digital MADI signal to the digital sounddesks of the PA , bypassing needless DA and AD conversions and eliminating the need for DI's and complex cabling where things can sometimes go wrong .

If you want more information , or want to hire me and/or my setup , please feel free to contact me .
